2005 Texas Invasive Plant and Pest Conference

On November 17th and 18th, 2005, the Pulling Together Initiative hosted the first statewide conference in Texas on non-native invasive plants. The conference was held at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas.

Professional Meeting (November 17th and 18th, 2005) - The first two days of the conference were a professional level meeting including keynotes, concurrent sessions, posters, and panels. The Professional Meeting was designed to serve scientists, land managers, state and federal agencies, local governments, and other professionals interested in invasive plant research and policy in Texas.

Public Awareness Day (November 19th, 2005) - The third day of the conference was devoted to public awareness and educational outreach and was open to the general public.
