Collection Notes: Growth of grasses in wet to mesic soil conditions on this preserved grasslands. No ground disturbances in many decades, but areas are mowed once to twice a year. One 10-acre area was sucessfully herbicided and mowed several times in 2013 to kill Lolium sp. and other grasses as part of a prairie restoration project.
