Abstract Title: Industrial and Municipal Experience Using Electrolytically-Produced Ionic Copper for Zebra and Quagga Mussel Control

Abstract Text: The authors will present their experience in developing the copper ion generator for control of micro-biological fouling (algae, bacteria, etc.) and macro-biological fouling (zebra mussels, quagga mussels, bryozoa, Asiatic clams). Several installation schemes will be presented that have been successfully employed over the past 25 years for biological fouling control in municipal water plants, fossil and nuclear electric power plants, paper mills, refineries and chemical plants throughout the East and Midwest.
